Urinary pain and cloudy urine after handjob?

Hi all. I, a 35-year-old bi guy, went to a sauna last Saturday night. During my visit, two to three guys gave me a handjob for 20-40 seconds each, and I kissed one of them. Since then, I've been experiencing a burning sensation in my urinary tract (not the urethra, but the tract in my scrotum).

I initially thought the discomfort was due to irritation, but it has persisted for several days since then. Yesterday, my urine was cloudy, and the pain has not gone away. I went to the clinic for testing today and they tested for a bacterial infection. The clinic gave me ceftriaxone 500 mg and azithromycin 500 mg tablets, and my urine sample was sent to a lab.

According to the forum, handjobs are not considered a probable or likely vector for transmission, but I still have concerns. The pain is affecting my sleep, and I'm feeling anxious and frustrated. Can anyone provide information on when the medication will work or offer any theories on what this could be if it's not a bacterial infection?

A handjob is no risk. It could be an NSU due to the chemicals from the sauna. Could be prostatitis. Difficult to say, but we can say it is not an STI. Keep the intake of water up and work with the anxiety and then review again.

Thank you. Last night was horrible. Sweating in pain as I tried to sleep. I asked my provider to let me try doxy while I wait on labs. Because of the low risk nature of the exposure, I keep asking myself if this is all in my head; but it’s so incredibly painful. As you say, it’s not likely an STI
It is well possible to develop urinary symptoms (frequent urination, penis burning sensation) from anxiety itself. It is also possible to see your own urine cloudy or even bloody if your are very anxious about getting an STI. Such things are much more common than any trouble from handjobs - Just read this thread to see how many worried-wells were here.
You had no risk for any STI associated with your symptoms. Try to relax and move on.

If it helps your anxiety. Change "not likely an STI" to "Zero percent chance to be an STI"
