This is Ridiculous!

I have just completed reading the posts, and I am shocked that there are so many people suffering with this. My doctor flat out told me that once you start with the recurrent BV, there is nothing that can be done. I have been tested for both yeast and BV, I usually come up positive for BV. I have used Clindesse, Diflucan, Metronidazole, over the counter yeast treatment, Flagyl, and others. My symtoms include: yellow or white watery discharge(moderate to heavy), itching, burning, tears, swelling, and very painful, burning during sex. My symptoms clear up during my period, and then come back within a few days after my period stops. I am currently on probiotics, and have been trying to cut out sugar. I do not drink soda often, or eat a lot of sweets. Its weird, because even when I test positive for BV, I never have that "fishy" smell that is supposed to be the distinct indicator of BV. Anyone else? I have been dealing with this for 4 years. Sometimes the symptoms will get better with treatment, but they almost always come back. About 1 year ago, I had a baby, and during the pregnancy I still had the problem but not as severe. I think that my problems started around the time that I had to go on a diet to reduce my cholesterol (basically no fat or sweets). I went on the diet for 1 month(then found out my cholesterol results were false, and my levels were perfectly fine). A few months after I started eating normally again, I was diagnosed with a BV infection and given Flagyl. After that, the symptoms have never completely cleared up, and I'm tired of being made to feel guilty by my husband because I don't want to have sex because it feels like he's wearing a steel-wool condom.

My Obgyn for about three years now kept thinking I was a normal case. BV, so she kept treating me antibiotics as well as creams, without culturing. Finally, I begged to be cultured Anaerobic and Aerobic Culture vaginally/genital, took 4 months of begging and glad I did. My husbands sperm irritated me at first and burned. I had been with others prior and never had a problem. I spent the first part of the pandemic super ill with E coli orally as well as vaginally and UTI, all from sexual interactions with husband. So, he got exams, tests, conclusion acute prostatitis and acute colitis, plus a super over average enlarged prostate. After, this I was treated two rounds of antibiotics which showed on culture susceptibility results and they cleared me. Yet, this time its Jan 2021, My husband was having same issues, no STDs, but sex again, resulted in E Coli & E faecalis and now UTI was E Faecalis. So this was taking a toll on sexual interacts. I forced urologist to find out what was wring with my husband bc he is almost 40 by months. He also had issues emptying, having full stream, tentacular pain after ejaculation, discharge here and there, and overall like he was on a hard baseball when sitting. So, you can see how this is not textbook for medical professionals. I spent a lot of time researching and getting to this point. I now was placed on Penicillin VK 500mg three times a day in order to kick this infection for 9 days, supposed to have been on for 28 days, yet it upset my stomach and well sweating severely so had to stop. Infections cleared. Husband was placed on 4 months of antibiotics cipro 1 month and doxy 3 months. Still they have yet to figure out why this is occurring. So, again doctors explain bacteria is just too high on your husband and your body just isn't good with that. Well how is that when we have been 3 years into marriage and no infections, no problems, then all the sudden. They state men and prostates can produce this Prostatitis which is commonly bacteria of E Coli and E Faecalis when at his age and given overly large prostate. So, as a man he could pass such during sexual encounters as well thus be fine getting rid of such bad bacteria and re-creating such so this could go on and on with back and forth infection no infection. Essentially passing such back to my vaginal regions causing infections which are quite severe. I had never had UTI in all my 34 years of living until this. So, for me well never listen to, "Oh its your weight", "Its you as a woman", men carry some serious bacteria levels in seminal fluids as well as acidic levels which do not help if not balanced and healthy as they will override a balanced PH of a woman 4.5-4.8. During all this Obgyn was amazed I was showing PH 6.5-6.8 intermediate range, plus I did not match textbook for such results, yet mimic of BV and yeast seemed to be tagged. Overall as of today UTI of E faecalis seems to have disappeared now. I do have polyps inside uterus, not culprit to infections, at least not these. Just to note this last time after penicillin vk was given vaginal E Coli & E faecalis and E faecalis UTI went away, yet after having intercourse just a month ago if that, contraction of E Coli vaginally and only E Faecalis UTI was found on cultures. So, today I am cleared and being advised to used non-lubricated condoms for rest of marriage as husband needs surgery to fix compression on reproductive tubes in order to avoid creating dangerous levels of bacteria which has been being passed to me. This took over 3k in costs to get results in just 1 years time. Not cheap. So if we want to keep going for children I have to do IUI, it is extremely hard to have a marriage in which you have spent so much time sick from when doctors could have open there minds and searched outside a textbook as well paid attention to the actual signs and symptoms to cure this way faster than me loosing quality of life as well as time here on earth. Just had to tell woman whom may also be dealing with such issues with an unknown.

yes eat yogurt  becaus eis has lacto. acidophilus in it . you can also try dipping a tampon in plain natural yogurt that contains live and active cultures to kills the bad bacteria. that is breeding in the vagin.and stay away from sweet and greasy food. stay away from hot baths take warm showers only use antibacterial soap, drink plenty of water. i used to get bv. but not anymore and i am a certified medical assistant now . ansd i only use dial antibatcerial soap . and never ever use a ****** or feminine hygiene products they upset the normal ph balance in the vagina. bv is a anaerobic and its lives in the vagins without oxygen and it also breeds in hot dark moist place.if you need to talk anymore feel free to email me at takeshiaw @yahoo.com

In April I had a simple bacterial infection, and dr. put me on flagyl. I have been also having yeast infections like you would not believe. They go away and then come back. I think it is the flagyl, I had never had to take an anti-fungal med, and I will never do it again......... My dr. told me to avoid pastries, bread etc.....eat whole foods...Also peanuts/popcorn/ can give you infections.I hope this helps.........................
