Anyone getting bad acne???

At first when I started breaking out I thought it was just a 1st trimester thing, well now it is getting worse. My skin looks like that of a 16 year old.
Anyone else breaking out?
What can we use that is safe. I use cetaphil face wash and that is doing NOTHING.

I second you on that, AP---though BP is actually more effective against acne than SA.  The SA just became a big buzz product a few years ago when it showed mild success, and it's been used in greater concentrations for actual peels for ages, so it became wildly popular and most otc acne treatments started using SA.  If it's not working, or not working well enough for you, try a product with BP.

I'm getting it on my back too, it's awful, down on the small of my back too----i hate it!

One thing that works well though is honey (and products containing honey)---the anti-bacterial properties of manuka honey especially are amazing.  Most of my hospitals are using it now, and there are numerous medical grade bandages that are soaked in it because it even kills MRSA.  The honey kills bacteria for much longer than neosporin (which loses efficacy within minutes), and treats without drying (like BP and SA).  So when you can, dab on some honey. (For example, curling up to watch a movie, dab some on the facial blemishes. Or dab some on the pad of a small bandaid for the ones that are out of site----occlusion greatly speeds healing time and minimizes scarring.)

A product I SWEAR by is Live Live's Bee Yummy Skinfood.  I ended up with adult-onset acne (self-diagnosed of course) a few years ago, and this past summer I tried it, and for the first time in two years, I looked in the mirror after a couple of weeks and didn't have one single solitary blemish.  It was amazing.  And I've tried everything.  Trust me.  Before crossing over into the surgical world, my background was Dermatology.

Ok, I just realized that post was really randomly organized and all over the place... Sorry!  haha, guess that's pregnancy brain.

Kupi My Dr has been a obgyn for 15 yrs and would not say it's okay if it wasn't. He has been my Dr for almost 10yrs he has delviered all my babies. He also told me don't believe everything you read on the internet. As long as you don't take any meds by mouth it's perfectly fine. Is this your 1st? This is my 4th the more babies you have you will not worry as much when your Dr tells you it's okay! I trust my Dr he is my friend too!

Grose the neutrogena works great!

my doc said benzoyle peroxide is perfectly fine, the amount in the OTC medications isnt enough to be harmful.  The only thing she said was to be sure and stay away from Rentin A, which you usually need a prescription for anyway.

I read that you cannot use anything with salcyclic acid or benzoyl peroxide (sorry about spelling) which is in most OTC medications - both the internet and my book and my doctor said I could only use reg. soap - what the heck???

I have broken out a little since becoming pregnant.  I am almost 13 weeks now.  I asked my doctor what I could use and she said anything over the counter is fine, but nothing with Rentin A.  I grabbed some clearasil with 10% benzoyle peroixide.  It seems to help for me, or atleast keep it under control.

My doctor also said that if things get a lot worse she can prescribe something that is ok for me to take. I'd ask your doctor what he/she recommends.  It's not very fun, I know!
