WELL LADIES...I FELL LAST NIGHT!

Hey Ladies,

Well, I went outside last night to feed my dogs and it was table food so they started to fight about it.  I got involved and stepped backwards and there was a step and I tripped backwards and feel on my bottom on the concrete.  I was a bit scared, so I decided to go ahead and call my doc.  He said that he thought it was probably fine but if I wanted to go in today to listen to the h/b, that he would be perfectly happy to do that.  But I told him that I would just see how the night went and to see if I had any cramping or anything.  I never did, but boy does my back hurt now!!!  And I can tell that it's not hurting from the baby.  It's just from the fall and I am really sore now, but other than that, I am fine.
It was just a scary thing; especially because my husband wasn't home and I was alone with all the kids, and one of them is really sick.

So, just had to vent kind of.......

OMG! Michele, I am glad that you are okay. Falling while preggo can be quite scary...I fell a few weeks ago, but I just fell on one knee in the ice and snow! That's Chicago for you! I had to walk around with a wet spot on one knee for about an hour..LOL..I have noticed that I have become quite clumsy lately...always tripping over or dropping something...

Glad you're okay!  When I had my kids years ago in my early 20's, I was so careless back then.  I never worried about anything, and took it all with a grain of salt.  Now, I feel so desperate for these babies that I worry about everything.  Including falling and minor car accidents, etc.  I know how you feel...  Again, glad everyone's okay!!  =)

Thanks ladies!  Nic, you crack me up.  LOL!!!

Yeah, I fell with my last pregnancy too, but I was much farther along.  We have tile floors and, my then, youngest daughter had spilled some water.  Well, I didn't see it and I slipped.  I went from my knee to my bottom.  Got a horrible bruise on my knee.  This was on a Saturday.  I had about 2 months to go before my baby was due and I never called anyone, I mean my doc.  I was having contractions on and off all weekend, but I had been having so many of the Braxton Hicks, that I didn't think anything about it.  So, Monday I decided to call my doc and they asked about the contractions and my doc had me go to L&D to monitor the baby for distress.  Contractions for too long can cause that for the baby.  My little on was fine, thank God, but I decided if I ever fell again while pregnant, I would def call someone and let them know.  The doc can decide if there is anything to worry about or not!

Thank you both.  I am not quite as sore today :)

Yikes that would be scary! I'm glad to hear your not having cramps or anything, but sorry about your back. My dogs are always taking me out like that. One ran up behind me on the stairs and hit the back of my knee so that my leg gave out. I think he might be trying to bump me off.
