Cramping at 20 weeks.

I am 20 weeks 4 days. I have had cramping on and off throughout most of my pregnancy. I thought it was gone and WHAM the last couple days they have been back.  I was just wondering who else around 20 weeks has been having cramps and how "severe" is normal. Mine are just like moderate period cramps. I know cramps can be normal or even a "good" thing because it means the uterus is growing but DARN these are annoying!!

I've been feeling a lot of "cramping".  I'm almost 17 weeks.  It is bothersome, but not really worrisome.   I was going to mention it at my appt today but I forgot.  I know last night i could really feel it.

Mine feel like mild to moderate menstrual cramps...but everyone's idea of pain is different.

I mentioned on the pregnancy 18- 34 but forgot to on this one, that I had an ultrasound yesterday (scheduled level 2) and my cervix was long and closed and they didn't seem to notice any contractions so I'm not worried. Just annoyed

i'd get checked out as soon as possible, reason being if it's an early sign of labour they'll be able to stop the labour with drugs. it's most probably just your body making room but if it were me, i'd get checked out just in case.

sounds like BH, although nicmom is correct, if they are freqent enough and strong enough they can cause change in your cervix. I would just bring it up to your doctor, he/she might want to do an exam. I started with BH a few weeks ago, they can be a pain in the azz, lol:)

Not to cause undo panic, but be sure to talk to your ob about the cramping. I had very mild cramping with my son and thought nothing of it until I told the ob and they did an internal just incase. That was around 19 weeks and I was almost 2cm dialated.

Again it's probably normal just like you suspect and part of that growing uterus, but keep an eye on it and make sure the cramps don't develop into a pattern.
