I have been super tired...all I want to do is sleep!!  It's hard when you have to work all day!!  Yesterday I got up went to church and came home to nap for an hour!!  Friday I got 10 hours of sleep over night, took a nap 2 hours after I woke up and was in bed Friday night by like 8:30.  This baby must be doing some massive growing, lol!!  I can't wait to see it on Wednesday!!

OMG!!  I can't seem to drink enough water!!  I feel like I'm dehydrated but I'm drinking so much water it's crazy!!  I'm constantly THIRSTY!!!

Well, my numbers are good so far; however I have a little spotting when I wipe and that scares me just a little. I hope it is just some implantation bleeding and nothing more.  Pray for me that this is a sticky bean and everything is going to be okay!  So scared!!

Soy Isoflavones - The natural Clomid

So I have been researching Soy Isoflavones the past few weeks and here is what I have found...

Among women struggling to conceive, it has long been anecdotally noted that taking doses of soy isoflavones for a short period of time during the beginning of the menstrual cycle can have a similar effect as clomiphene citrate. Like clomiphene citrate, or "clomid," it is believed that soy isoflavones induce ovulation by tricking the body into producing more estrogen. The process is as follows...
Step 1Buy good quality soy isoflavone supplements. These are sold in most pharmacies and grocery stores, and are typically marketed to help with menopausal symptoms. Most pills contain 40mg of soy isoflavones.

Step 2The soy isoflavones must be taken at the right time in your menstrual cycle for the proper effect. The ideal day to start is between 3 to 5 days after the start of your menstrual period.

Step 3Take roughly 80mg of soy isoflavones per day, with food. This should work out to two pill supplements, but you must check the package to determine how much is in each pill. The precise time of day is unimportant, but you should take the supplement at the same time everyday. Many women prefer to take it at night to avoid side effects during the day.

Step 4Repeat the above for 5 days, taking 80mg worth of supplement each day. Then stop! You should not continue for more than 5 days, as this could have a negative impact on ovulation and actually delay your natural cycle.

Step 5You may wish to track your fertility using basal body temperature. If you do not ovulate, you may wish to increase the isoflavone dosage.

I have decided to try this this cycle and since my cycles are a little longer than the norm (I ovulate CD 17 or 18) I decided to take this from CD 3 - CD 7.  I'll let you know how it goes!!  I have been super tired this cycle which usually doesn't happen until after I ovulate, so I'm thinking the extra estrogen may be the cause.  My next step in a month or two was going to be to try Clomid anyway...we'll see if the natural stuff works!
