IVF # 3 on it's way

Jun 25, 2011 - 10 comments

Well we decided to go for it again! So far everything is looking good. I wanted to do a conventional cycle this time, however the timing wasn't right. I start a new job in a couple of weeks and it looked very possible me having to miss the first week of work. Sooooo we opted for a Mini IVF cycle again, but with heavy stimulation.

So far all labs are corresponding with my follies! It looks like 3 follies on the right and 8 on the left. Hoping that they all catch up to each other in size and maturity!  We are very excited and hope that this time is it for us!!

No good news :(

We are on our way!!!!

My Journey Continues!!!

Well we should be all set to go by April. That is my goal month. Weight loss is going good. I was pre diabetic and with high triglycerides... all related to weight. I went to see a weight loss specialist and it's going really well. I was really down for a while because I wanted to jump right into it again, but with the news of my health as a Nurse I knew that I would be putting myself and future baby's health at risk. Then I had gotton all of my meds.... but my RE changed facilities and was no longer working for the place I went to. I felt really comfortable with him, but now he is just too far and the price was almost double. Since we are paying out of pocket it just was not realistic. But after some careful research I have finally found another facility and they all seem to be great. I felt instant comfort!!!. We are waiting til April just to give me a little over a month to continue with my weight loss journey. I have just made it out of the danger point with diabetes and want to lower my Hgb A1C just a little more. Some people just don't realize the link of  overweight women are more than twice as likely to miscarry an IVF baby compared with those whose weight is healthier

Overweight mothers have a higher risk of developing other medical conditions that can threaten their pregnancy, including high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, premature delivery and post-partum bleeding. So to all of you who thought I had probably given up.... I HAVEN'T!!!! I just needed to take care of me first before trying this again.
