Found tender spots around the back of my head specifically my sub-occipitals. A little history... for the past 3-4 weeks at my weekly massage we have been focused on trigger points in and around my trapezius muscles, but i still was getting one headache per week starting at the back of my neck (sub-occipitals) and pain would refer over my ear, to my temple, and over my eyebrow if it was bad enough.  Today I asked my massage therapist to focus more on the sub-occipital region and lower neck scalenes.  We greatly diminished the tenderness in my sub-occipitals and my scalenes were very tight causing me to have a hard time swallowing saliva in addition to increased swallowing on my back... after tension was released in the scalenes i had a much easier time swallowing, WEIRD!
Through all of this I was thinking back to when we first started and how much better i felt when we were focused on my neck.  I had much more energy and could go weeks without any headaches.  So, trying to remember what we focused on at that time... I remember a lot of scalene muscle work in addition to myo-fascial release techniques.  So that is the game plan for next time... focus more on neck region specifically deep tissue sub-occipital and scalenes, take care of obvious trapezius trigger points, then myo-fascial release of shoulders & neck.

Snow Day!  Snow blowing and shoveling for 2 hours.  Stretched before and afterwards... felt fine until after lunch. Marinara w/ Meat Pasta for lunch?  Tried ice pack at 330... seemed to help a bit, but i was probably too late in trying.  Took a Relpax and laid in bed.  Fell asleep with ice pack on my neck and woke up at 6 rejuvenated.

Last day of EFSTS class in OKC.  Testing day!  Spend a lot of time with my head down looking at test/testing material, straining my neck.  Plus the stress of 4 other proficiency tests all day long.  Pasta for lunch?  Turned the cold air on in the car for my 30 min travel back to hotel... that made me feel a bit better.  Used theracane on shoulders and neck... to late to really have and effect... took a relpax.  about 2 hours later i was feeling better.

Travel to OKC from Omaha.  3 inches of snow that morning that i had to shovel from the driveway and clean off cars.  Flights delayed, causing me to miss my connection in Houston... arriving late into OKC... didn't get to apartment until 530 completely exhausted with a headache.   United Express Jets were small and seats were horrible with no lumbar support, very loud, etc, pressure was more intense.
