Getting tired

Oct 07, 2012 - 0 comments

Although I love being pregnant, I am starting to slow down and am looking forward to moving on to the next stage. My little boy is currently kicking me under/right between the ribs, his favorite place. She is quiet which means I wont have to pee anytime soon. Normally she uses my bladder as her personal trampoline.

Roughly two more months to go meaning several more doctors visits, two long ultrasounds and who-knows-what-else until we safely make it to labor and delivery, an event that I think about almost hourly. Will I be in for a c-section or vaginal delivery? If I am lucky enough to experience a vaginal birth, am I strong/stubborn enough to do it without the help of an epidural? I wonder how my husband is going to be during the whole thing since he hates the idea of pain and blood. Maybe he will be a good distraction from the contractions/surgery. We shall see.

Baby B

Jun 17, 2012 - 0 comments

I went in for the ultrasound this past Thursday and was delighted I got to see them again because I wasn't scheduled for one. This was one of the biggies, the one that looks for chromosomal defects (13, 18, 21, ect). Both of the babies were moving and looked great, except for an abnormal blood flow pattern from the ductus venosus in baby B, which will lead to more testing. Hopefully it will go away on its own, as many of these issues tend to do. We will need to decide if we want an amniocentesis to determine if this problem is due to Downs. Baby B likes to keep me on my toes, but I am remaining positive and hopeful. Now for another 2WW.

check-up

Jun 13, 2012 - 0 comments

Basic check-up today. Heart rates are beating steadily at 160 and 140 bpm. I won't have another ultrasound until the 20 week mark. I was hoping to see them sooner. I think my RE spoiled me on ultrasounds.

Gotta stop worrying

May 25, 2012 - 0 comments

Is it normal and/or healthy to worry that something is wrong all the time? Probably not. My symptoms have been lessening the past few days, which I hope does not mean much of anything other than the first trimester coming to a close. My next ultrasound is in three weeks. I am trying to not think negative/worrisome thoughts until then, but that has proven to be difficult. So, is worry a pregnancy symptom? Cause, if so, I have a symptom!
