Ok, first of all, I found out that my "palpitations" were actually esphogeal spasms.   The story of how I found out is long, I freaked out and went to the Emergency room.  There I was hooked up to the machine while I had one.  It didn't affect my heart at all, it was my esophagus.  Sheesh.

Ok so these spasms are either caused by GERD, or allergies.  And anxiety makes them worse.  They are not sure why GERD causes them but it's possible that acid eats into your esophagus and begins to disturb the nerves there.  It mimics a heat palpitation because it rests against the heart.

I find it suspicious that I never have them on Sundays.  Never!  I also don't work Saturdays usually.  I think this is either connected to the stress of working, or it could be something I'm coming into contact with while I work.  OR it could be a suddenly developed food allergy.  But I'm suspicious of my spray tan.  I put it all over right before I go to work.  Allergies are a delayed reaction.  Soooo.....I work.  The next day - spasms.  I'm going to skip wearing it for a while and see what happens to my "palpitations".

I've been wearing this spray tan for years, but I always wondered if it could be good for me.  It could be attacking an already weakened area in my body, my esophagus, that is already sensitive.

I just find it very suspicious that this has NEVER happened on a Sunday.

Ok, I had an anxiety attack this morning because of stuff relating to Jamborsky, but didn't have a palp during it.  Felt jumpy for sure, but no palp.

I have been following a GERD regimen with sleeping on 3 pillows on my upper body, small meals spread out throughout the day and only bland, easy to digest foods.  Magnesium/calcium every day.  Bought the Aloe Gel, took some.  Got Ph test strips.  Got licorice tea.  Got Blackstrap molasses.  Stopped taking my multivitamin with ginseng in it, it was a stimulant.  Got a GREAT probiotic, have taken it for two day now.  Found a GREAT website about it.  Flossed my teeth, resolved to KEEP them flossed.  Went to that therapy place, got info for intake and prices.  Even consulted a Chinese medicine practice. Trying to decide the best way to treat my anxiety.  

Had an arguement with Jason today, but most other situations we dealt with much better than we had been doing.  

MUST GET:  Kale and other greens, better vitamins than the Source Of Life stuff. and Ph drops.

MUST SEE:  An ENT for the GERD/LPR, and a Cardiologist. And a therapist for my anxiety.

Honey and molasses is least I can have something sweet from time to time!  Oh, I got Plum Butter to use instead of butter.

GERD diet, no palps today

Since yesterday I have been following the GERD diet.  I also slept with my upper body raised up a few inches. I have no anxiety or palps today and I feel much better.  I have eaten only small meals.  I hope I have found the answer, I was feeling REALLY AWFUL before and very scared as well.

Holding Pretty Steady

My heart held steady all day with only what I call a "mini palp" which is a barely perceptible thump during a stressful situation.  I also felt even smaller "mini palps" when sitting forward in a cross legged position propped up on my elbows to use my computer  at a small table - no more lying on side propping up on elbows for me. I need a taller computer table so that I do not have to "prop" and therefore compress my chest. I also made efforts in my car not to relax into the bucket seats for hours and to straighten my back a lot.  I made a special effort not to argue and I had the Valerian ready in case I felt anxiety, which I did not on this particular day.  

I want to return to regular Yoga for my back which I had been doing on a regular basis before I started my business 4 years ago.  I am also considering chiropractic adjustment which I had years before.

It annoys me that I was doing all the "right things" but then stopped, never believing that things could get worse than they already were.  I used to get very small palps but ignored them, and I used to do Yoga and take Valerian for my anxiety on an as-needed basis.  Why did I stop?  I got preoccupied with other things. This really lets a person know that NOTHING is as important as their health- if your health stops, so does EVERYTHING else.
