Short term memory loss

Feb 18, 2014 - 0 comments

I've noticed that I'm getting short term memory problems forgetting names spellings and in the time it takes for the Google window to appear what question I was going to put in. Crestor is going I've reduced it to every other day and will drop it in stages to zero. Likewise the Beta blocker though I haven't found a direct link between the neuropathy and Beta blockers The fact that my balance returned and the neuropathy lessened when I returned to the lower dose is enough to convince me they are doing no good. They may be multiplying the effect of the Crestor. Crestor is also seen as a super strength Statin and the need for such stains is being questioned by Drs so Its Bye Bye Statin once again.

Ketogenic Diet

Feb 18, 2014 - 0 comments

I can't be sure that I'm in Ketogenisis yet but the weight is coming down however that may also be due to giving up alcohol. I've decided to reduce and stop the Statins and Beta blocker since I recognised that I was getting short term memory problems I've reduced both to half for now and i'll take it up with the Dr Next week when we discuss the results of today's blood tests. I'm not sure if he has asked for a B12 test or not but Kidney, Liver and Lipids have been ordered. The Brilique (anticoagulent) can stay until it runs out unless I can find or be given a strong rational for its use.

Ketogenic diet

Judging from recent events regarding loss of feeling in the lower limbs, forgetfulness, loss of balance, and breathlessness despite lung capacity improving. I think its time to reassess the Statins and Beta blocker. I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that beta blockers contribute to neuropathology but halving the dose improved my balance and reduced the feeling of wearing socks whilst swimming. I've a Drs. appointment tomorrow  to see if its a vitamin B12 imbalance if so why? My nephew is researching my grandfathers war record and in searching for his death certificate came across my Silver swimming award. This would have been for swimming about half a mile dressed in pyjamas treading water for about three minutes and other tests. Yesterday I could only manage about 50 meters before resting though I covered 500m in total.
