Latest plea to have our News Feed returned to the whole site...

Jun 18, 2016 - 9 comments

I do this once a week; send a request to the contact us at the bottom of the page. This was todays:

I am writing  in hopes that at some point my request will be heard but I am loosing hope after reading the following attachment. It feels like no one cares or is listening to what MH users are asking for! We want the News Feed back and don't understand what the point of removing it was in the first place. Many MH users have already left and many are thinking of other sites that will meet their needs. I just don't understand why you don't care about the individuals that the site was designed for. We use it to communicate and support one another and for me, it was a much needed support group and you took that away! The only reason that I stay at all, once a week, is that I don't want to say goodbye to my friends. So for myself and my friends, I will continue to ask..., PLEASE GIVE US OUR NEWS FEED BACK!!!

So Frustrated About The News Feed...

I WANT IT BACK, PLEASE!!! It is very frustrating that you took it away in the first place but more frustrating is your choice to ignore the voice of your site. An explanation sure would be nice. Most of my MH friends have contacted you and now plenty of time has lapsed. An explanation could have been given by now. This makes me so angry and sad  but that doesn't seem to matter. I used this website as an online support group and it helped me through a very difficult time. The news feed helped me pay it forward. As much as I love all my MH friends, I don't think I'll be coming around much any more since you choose to ignore the very people you created your site for in the first place. Every time I come on the website I become agitated so the logical thing to do is to stay away.

Please Help!!

To all my MH friends! I just wanted to put this out there in the event that someone else has to go through something like what I have. Many of you may already know that my spouse fell and broke her femur on 3/4/15. She shattered it in 4 places. She was in the hospital for 2 wks; the longest 2 wks of my life! When you are in the hospital for that long and have to be discharged to a rehab facility you get to work with hospital social workers. My experience with hospital social workers was awful, absolutely awful! If any of you have the "pleasure" of working with hospital social works, make sure you know your rights and do your own leg work as well. They wanted to stick my spouse in a facility that, from family experience, was not a good, safe place for her to go. They pushed and in my opinion bullied and at times it felt like we didn't have a choice, they were just going to put us where they wanted to put us. I learned a lot from the experience! Make sure to call and work with your insurance company. Get a list of in network facilities and tour them before you put your loved one into a rehab facility. We did manage to get to an outstanding facility but it is an hour away from our home. So moral of the story, don't be afraid to step up and be your own advocate.
