I am a 23 year old active, normal young professional who has recently developed this strange illness. Starting a week ago I began to feel some mild lower abdominal discomfort along with some very dull, achy testicular pain (Sunday). After a day of those symptoms, I began to develop a mild stiffness in the back of my neck on both sides, running down into my shoulders (Monday). I saw my primary care physician the next day and was told that I had a prostate infection and was given Cipro (Tuesday). I didn't think to mention the neck stiffness because I figured I had slept wrong. After 2 days on the Cipro, my neck became more and more stiff and I notice a slight fog/difficulty concentrating developing in my head so I called my primary care and he advised to stop the Cipro and prescribed Bactrim instead (Thursday). I followed his instructions and began taking the Bactrim. Friday, Saturday and Sunday I felt awful. I had neck stiffness, nausea, blurred vision, fogginess and a slight pressure in my head right above my eyes. I went to the ED on Sunday and was evaluated for possible meningitis. I had a spinal tap done and everything checked out fine. I went home and felt much better that evening. The next day (Tuesday - 1 week of symptoms), the symptoms returned and I went back to my primary care physician to have some blood work done and to get another opinion. The blood work came back perfect, no sign of anything. On Wednesday, the symptoms remained and I went to the ED again to have a more thorough workup done. CT, X-ray, blood work, lp, testicular ultra sound all came back and said I  was perfectly healthy.

It has been 1 week and 2 days now and everyone is telling me that this is a virus that just needs to run its course. Does anyone have any similar experiences or advice?
