Jul 08, 2014 - 8 comments

HI LADIES I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING ALOT ABOUT IVF FINANCING AND MY RE DOES NOT OFFER THAT WHICH *****. WHICH MEANS I WILL EITHER NEED TO PAY $11,985 OUT OF POCKET OF GO TO ANOTHER RE. I HAVE TWO OPTINS ONE IN FL OR ONE IN SC. BOTH OF THEM ARE ABOUT TWO HOURS FROM WHERE I LIVE. MY QUESTION IS TO ANY OF YOU WHO HAVE HAD IVF DID YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET OR DID YOUR RE HAVE FINANCE OPTIONS?

I paid out of pocket. Over the 6 yrs of trying I think we spent about $60,000 total over those years

I paid out of pocket.  Financing is relatively new, and somewhat rare still.

Paid out of pocket by financing through a home equity line. There are companies who specialize in ivf financing, but you need to ask the clinic(s) which ones they accept.

We were going to finance it but when I started another job, my health insurance covered almost 100% of it.  We ended up paying about $2000 for meds. You might want to look at all of the fertility clinics in your area.  A number of them have the financing options online.  I hope that you are able to find something closer to your home because you have to have alot of appointments for blood work, ultrasounds, etc.

Let me know if you need help. :)

thanks you ladies for all your help. Unfortunately the clinic where I live (GA)there is no financing everything is paid upfront. my total for one cycle is $11,985 that includes meds. I have thought about going to a clinic in Jacksonville (which is two hours away from me) to get a second opinion. They have finance options. what you pay is for 3 cycles and if for some reason it doesn't work any cycle you get a percentage of your money back. I just really thinking how am i gonna come up with that money? If only I could hit the lotto lol
