My best friend told me that yesterday on the way to the pool, her 7th grader neighbor smacked her butt. Now all day today he was touching her and stuff (not in inappropriate places). She got so tired of it that she almost hit him. She has talked to her mom today and her mom was all moody from work. She tried to sit down and tell her how much this upset her, and all her mom said was that she wouldn't have backed her up if she would've hit him. My best friend is truly upset by this and she won't let anyone do anything about it (although her mom wouldn't do anything anyways). So, what could she or I do about this? How can I support her and show her I care?

She even told me earlier that she was actually afraid to walk home alone tonight, so she walked home with someone else.

Hi heres what your friend could do, tell her to confront the idiot ans say to him very very quietly but form;ly," I do not like you touching me if you do it again I am going to tell your parents, school and possibly the Police." she says it seriously , and she has to mean it ,if he ignores it she asks her parents to speak to his parents/school  and if they wont she does it herself,It is sexual harrassment if not abuse and she could possibly speak to a police Officer about the matter. It doesnt matter if her Mom wont back her up, her Mom is very wrong. Has she a Dad around to help?

Also the manager at the complex she is swimming should be made aware of the problem.  If he is doing this to her he's likely doing this to other girls.  Remind her she shouldn't feel ashamed this is him fault not hers!
