This is my fist day as a member of medhelp. I'm finding these trackers fun and interesting, and I hope they help motivate me to loose weight and make better choices about my body.
My name is Amanda. I'm a month away from turning 26 years old, and I have been gaining weight since about age 14. My heaviest weight was 234lbs and a size 26 pants. My current weight is 188 and a size 12 pants. I'm in the middle of moving back to the family farm (only 20 miles from here), so the moving stress is getting to me.. I've been cheating a lot more with my comfort foods.
I have what's called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). One of the symptoms of PCOS is weight gain and trouble loosing weight.. So I try to have a very positive attitude about my weight.
I'm not ashamed of my size, and I don't try to hide it. I try to wear it proudly (in a tasteful way), because I know it wont change with the snap of a finger.. hehe. But I really want to be healthy, because I have an obese mother in her late 40's, who has all kinds of health issues she struggles with... :( Maybe I can help her while I help myself.
As we all know.. Loosing weight can be a royal pain.. But the rewards are limitless! So here's for hoping and keeping our fingers crossed! :)
