Breast cancer awaerness month and my aunt is dying of it =(

Oct 15, 2009 - 5 comments

My Aunt Juanita (we call her Aunt Sister) just found out a few months ago during back surgery that she had breast cancer. They removed one breast then the other and gave her chemo and radiation but it has finally taken it's toll. My cousin called lastnight and said they are giving her 3 days (now 2) to live. This just stinks! How can someone live to 70 years old and be healthy as a lark and go in for back surgery to find out they have progressed breast cancer and die within a few months?? Just sad, crazy, unfair all in one! This makes me especially sad because my uncle also found out around the same time that he has cancer in the kidneys and they removed one kidney only to find out that they never got it all and now they are starting him on chemo. I wonder how long he has left! Depressing! =(

I am so sorry to hear about both your Aunt and Uncle. My Grandmother has battled cancer twice and is currently going through it again. She first had skin cancer of the nose (removed and reconstructed), it pregressed into throat cancer (removal of voice box) and now she is battling lung cancer. Her doctor now thinks (this is a new cancer doctor) that the cancer started in her lung the whole time and was working it's way up through her body. She is doing Chemo and this is the second treatment session. She is givenabout 1-2 years left. She is also 70 years and had no other health issues other then cancer. I know the pain you must be feeling and I'm right there with you. I hate cancer. I think it's one of the worst things to go through.

You, your Aunt and Uncle and the rest of your family will all be in my prayers.

Awwww hon I am sorry to hear this. It just breaks my heart to hear another person has lost their battle with cancer. It's hearbreaking, but in a way it's good as she is not suffering and not in pain anymore.

May the angels welcome her with open arms and embrace her into heaven.

Hugs to you and your family.
