So I've been light spotting now for 4 days. The ultrasound today showed hemmoraging on my uterus. That's what the OB on call meant by "lakes". ALthough there is no way to know for sure what caused it, I think a lot of women experience it. It could cause miscarriage if it interfers with where the baby is implanted. I am so nervous about next Monday when I will see a baby and hopefully a heartbeat. My doctor sounded very encouraging, so I will continue to stay positive for now. They did tell me to take it easy, no intercourse..etc.It's hard to rest with a 1 and 2 year old at home, but I will do my best.

The sac and yolk sac looked good and measured at 5w 2 days, which worries me a little because I know my LMP was 6 weeks ago. Doc said it's not enough difference to be worriesome.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers!

Good news about the baby being OK.  Hopefully, they will be able to do something proactive to make sure your hemmorage doesn't hurt the baby.  Or maybe your body will take care of it and get the blood out like it has been trying to do.  That is wonderful about your measurments.  My gestational sac was a little on the small side as well, but they say that is normal because they don't know when you actually conceived or when the baby implanted (lmp just gives them an idea), so it could be as much off as a week and be normal.  I will keep you in my prayers.  Keep thinking positive girl :)
I will post an update Friday evening (I am suppose to be able to see my little heartbeat on Friday).  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I bled from 7 weeks to 17 weeks with Fionn. They called it a subchorionic hematoma and many women have it in and have a healthy baby. I am one of them. Try and take it easy. I will say a prayer for you.

Thanks for the encouragement. I did read about the subchorionic hematoma and I guess I thought it was only postpartum. I'm not sure if that's what I have. They just said bleeding in the wall of the uterus. Is that what it is? So yours healed on it's own? I'm nervous about it, but I know that everything will be okay no matter what the outcome.

Heather, I'm crossing my fingers for you Friday. :O)
