I know I can count on you ladies for amazing advice and information. :)

I have a friend that has m/c'd x'2 at right around 10 weeks.  Natural conception...

She is under 35.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm sorry that I don't have any reasons as to why nor do I have any information I can give or advice but that doesn't mean that I can't keep her in my thoughts and prayers.  It's got to be so heartbreaking.  I'll be praying for her and praying she finds out the reasoning why and goes on to have the happy and healthy pregnancy that she deserves.

It could be progesterone,  or natural causes like , the cells messed up somewhere while it was growing.

Does she have thyroid disease?

Agree progesterone could be reason . Could also just be a terrible coincidence! She conceived naturally?? So there is always hope x

Hollies, it's probably never been checked.  They are just ttc naturally.  I will tell her to have it checked.

Thanks Des!  It has to be so hard!

Hansen, I thought progesterone too....

My losses were caused by a clotting disorder called Factor V Leiden.  I needed lovenox.  A lot of other losses are from mthfr.  There could also be a genetic reason.  If she hasn't had a blood panel work up done, I'd suggest that as well as a repeat pregnancy loss panel.

And if she unfortunately experiences a third loss, I'd suggest asking for a pathology report to rule out a genetic cause. Or she and her hubby may be able to get genetic testing done prior to conceiving again.

it takes prednisone, lovenox, methylated folate and synthroid to keep my TSH under 2,for me to carry a pregnancy to term.  I don't think most doctors here will do a repeat loss work up. I had testing all along because I have so many fertility issues.
I would guess TSH isn't below 2 and or prednisone may help. I hope they find whatever the trouble is soon!

If it were progesterone I don't think the pregnancy would make it to 10 weeks??? Not sure

That should of said
I don't think most doctors do a repeat loss work up until you have 3 unfortunately.

Good advice above about thyroid. Also tell her to add b6, low dose aspirin & b50 complex to her vitamin list. Helps lining & blood flow. I agree Lovenox too for blood flow. I also did estrogen after ovulation on my natural cycle.

Hey Mel,
I know someone here who couldn't hold onto a pregnancy till her sugar was checked and under control. It was such a long struggle for her, with many IVF's. Just another idea I wanted to throw out there.
