I am P*ssed. Just found out my hospital is now out of network

I am really p*ssed. I was calling my insurance to check on how much my co-pay would be and the informed me that  the hospital is no longer in network as of March31st .My OB office never informed me that I cant deliver at the only hospital they are affiliated with. I am almost 31 weeks and I have to try and find another hospital and end up delivering with doctors I dont know. Who am I supposed to call now when I go into labor? I am going to try and speak with the OB co-ordinator this morning and see what can be done.If they had of told me when they found out I could have swithched to a practice with an in network hospital and not have spent 45mins going to their practice so I could deliver in the same hospital where I had Fionn.

Oh that would p*ss me off too! They have a responsibility to tell you these things. Give them a peice of your mind.

Thanks Karen. Actually I found out after numerous phone calls that because I was in my 2nd trimester when the contract ended  they will allow me to still deliver in the hospital as in network with no copay, so I am feeling much better now.
