Hi! On Saturday night I went to the ER because my headache and confusion and stuff had gotten so bad. They admitted me overnight and the fever hadn't gone away. (I still have no idea why they admitted me overnight JUST to see if I was feeling better) The fever hadn't dropped and I still felt really bad so I had a CT scan and an EEG, and neither were conclusive. Sometime today I'm getting a spinal tap. The doctors aren't really keeping me updated on what they think is going on with me. Not a very good experience so far but at least they have painkillers and TV.
EDIT: got my spinal tap. Apparently my glucose level is low in the CSF, and the white blood cell count is high. Have no idea what any of this means but they said they'll have to run more tests tomorrow.
EDIT: I got an MRI. It's either aseptic meningitis or encephalitis. To figure out exactly what it is would be a waste of time, and I'll be discharged tomorrow if my fever goes down with whatever stuff they're giving me. Just got to avoid people. My case isn't severe or life threatening, so that's good at least. Sure gave me a scare though.
EDIT (3/19): Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile, I've just been resting and I feel much better now. Don't have a lot more to update on, so unless anything changes, this will conclude my journal entry.
