Hi friends

Yesterday i had a job interview and was hired I will be working in a large group home for physically and mentally challenged adults. Ive not worked full time in years , my finances are very poor so I need this job desperatly, it has health insurance which will be great !

I regret to inform that effective immediatly i will be resigning as community leader of the hysterectomy forum. I need to focus on my schooling and new job. However I will continue to pop in and answer questions when i can.

God Bless all of you

Hey Cherie, good to hear from you again. I'm glad things are going so well for you and the job sounds wonderful! I think you will do very well with this job.
I sure understand not having much time to get online anymore ever since I started my new job almost 3 months ago. It sure keeps you busy! And then on my weekends I feel like I've got to catch up with cleaning, shopping, etc., so I don't feel like I ever have enough time anymore!
But as the others said, I hope you will pop in once in awhile snd let us know how you are doing.
Take care and congratulations on the new job!

Hi all, I sure will pop in ..

This is what happened truth,,I was praying hard for a job any job even fast food, but as you all know my passion/skills are medical. to go back as a cna costs 1k ..dont have it plus you take care of up to 18 people at once hard on  the back.

I never ever buy the "local" newspaper in store instinct forced me to buy it come home it sits on table a few days I open it find a corporation that owns several group homes in my neighboorhood. I call get a on the spot 15 min phone interview once they find out my history. Ask me to come in next day I never had such a long interview but I got to get physical this week I will pass, hopefully they r not concerned about scar on my neck but dr said itd be totaly healed in 2 yrs b its been that long.

anyways the pay is ok...but the opportunity is fabulous my goal is to move up to house manager.

anyone who knows MI knows the economy is very very bad so I am blessed to get a job that I want where I can use my skills..I can do more in this home than I could at the hospital ...dress wounds, give injections etc..

so ty all....April what r u doing now?

Oh Cherie, I was so happy to log on and see this news.  I with you all the success in your new career and in your education.  I am now finally settled in Windsor and life is getting some sort of normalcy after the loss of my dad and the job change so do let me know when we might get together.

My daughter and I are both working in the same small, Christian daycare. It's working out real well in that she can take the baby and I can pick my son up from school and bring him back there, also during school breaks, and they're not charging us. They said they wouldn't charge because they can't offer much else in benefits, which is ok dine I don't really need medical benefits or anything.
It's kind of nice that my daughter(and me) can see the baby during the day while he's in the nursery.

And we are now working the same hours do we can drive together.

The pay could be better but we both are taking extra course to become teacher certified, instead of the teacher assistant we are right mow. We would get a raise once it's completed, which takes up to a year to complete.

This is why I'm hardly on anymore. I'm still getting used to working full time again. I'm usually pretty beat by the end of the day! But I love the little ones. It's just a lot of work! They have a lot of energy!
It's a Child Development Center, which means we don't just babysit them, we try to do educational things with them with a lesson plan and all. It takes a lot of work and time, both on the clock and off, which only makes me appreciate teachers and daycare providers all the more!
I've done in home daycare off and on for several years but this is different. I have 10 kids in my room I help take care of, for one thing, with another teacher. I work with the toddlers and they are just do sweet! I love this age, but you sure have to keep a sharp eye on them!

Noe you know why I'm tired all the time, lol.

Anyway, this job will do for awhile till my don is older, I think.

So that's about it for me. I'm glad you found a good job. It sounds wonderful! Let us know how things go. Tall to you again soon!
