Well, guess when ttc over 40 with assistive technology, one needs to be prepared for sudden changes in plans!  We retrieved 18, which was a great number....only 7 fertilized correctly, which was still pretty good....only 3 made it to day 5 blasts....only one was perfect-looking, one was somewhat developing on target, and the 3rd did not look good.  So instead of doing PGD testing on embs then freezing for transfer in October, as planned, we made the decision (with help of RE recommendations) not to spend the very costly PGD testing on only 2 embs.....instead she called and said basically...COME IN TODAY for transfer!  That was Tuesday.  We chose to transfer the one very healthy looking blast and the 2nd best looking.  Now one week wait to see if either implanted.  I keep saying "healthy-looking" because I think I know enough to write a book now about reproduction, and a healthy, perfect-looking embryo has NOTHING to do with the actual genetic health of it.  That is why we were hoping for a bunch to test first before transfer to try and reduce the chance of another miscarriage.  Now...even if I did get pregnant, I will not allow myself to really take it all in until I see a heartbeat (which we never did with the previous 3) and then probably not even until I have tangible proof in my arms!  All prayers welcome!  Thanks!!

Thank you ladies!  Preg. test Thursday, but I just started to spot a bit today, so I am preparing my heart for the likely chance that I am going to get my period by then :-(
