First OB appointment 3/28/2012

Mar 29, 2012 - 6 comments

Had our first OB appointment yesterday. It went well, though I must admit I missed our RE!

Baby looked well, thank God! We were 12 weeks 6 days and baby measured 13 weeks 5 days. In fact, I don't think the doctor believed the dates I gave him from our retrieval and IVF...he said he was going to call RE to confirm....it was kind of comical.

Just happy all continues Well!

Hope everyone is healthy and happy...

Lots of love,
Maria

Yayyy!!! I'm so happy for you that everything is going well. I missed my RE too, it is hard to get used to the once a month U/S.

Maria,

So glad to hear that the baby is growing like a weed.  It seems like your doctor would know that the u/s says that the "age" of the baby can be off by usually +/- 7-8 days.  He shouldn't get too excited.  If they are measuring the thigh bone, it could mean that you have a baby with long legs, which "hints" to me that this just might be a baby boy.  Hee, hee!!!

It doesn't really matter what the sex of the baby is, cause it seems that you are carrying a healthy baby.  That's what's important.  Right?

All of this is such a miracle, Maria.  I couldn't be more happy for you and your DH.  Baby will be here before you know it.  What a wonderful day that's going to be.  Meanwhile, enjoy being pregnant.  Those were the best months of my life, despite the nagging nausea and everything else that goes along with pregnancy.  It's a time in a women's life that you never forget.  Trust me.  My oldest is 41 and my youngest is 37.

Big Motherly Hugs and prayers,
Heather
