I had another prenatal appointment on tuesday and they took my blood and a urine sample. I've never had my blood drawn before and plus I don't really like needles. So I was really nervous. The needle going in didn't really hurt but it staying in hurt. It started to feel like my vein was being squeezed almost like a muscle cramp. It was really uncomfortable. I trusted that she did it right but then when I took my bandage off later I saw that where the needle was put in wasn't even in my vein! My vein was clearly on the right of where she put in the needle. And now I have an unsightly bruise where she drew my blood. Is that normal? Are you supposed to get bruises from a blood draw? Anyways. They scheduled me for my first ultrasound in three weeks :) When I'm 10weeks along. It seems like such a long time to wait so I'm really hoping that time will go by fast. And that I'll be patient during the wait. But I just want to see our baby and know that he/she is ok. Don't they know that this is torture?! I don't even know if the baby is ok. But since they drew my blood I'm sure they'd call if the hcg levels were low or something. So I'm finding comfort in that. I just can't wait to hear our little one's heartbeat :) I'm eagerly waiting for our 10week mark :)

The bad thing about pregnancy is that you really need to get used to being poked because it going to happen ALOT during the pregnancy.It is very normal to bruise after a blood draw. If you think about it you are disturbing the vain, just as well has hitting you leg really hard on the coffee table you might get a bruise.. But the dr would let you know if there was anything abnormal about the hcg or if they see anything in the blood. You haven't had any history or currently have any pregnancy difficulties do you? If not I wouldnt worry, and that everything is going as planned. I know that it seems like a life time away but its all natural to feel that way. If you read on some of my history I have had to complications at 6 and 7 weeks pregnant, so with me being about 5 wk and 3 days it very crucial that I start going to the dr as well and getting my blood done every  day to make sure the hcg doubles. Enjoy the pregnancy and absorb it all as it come because right now it may seem like 40 weeks is a long time away and than next thing you know you are delivering and you are going to wonder where the time went. Thats what the lady told me who took my blood too. Because apparently they're going to draw my blood seven more times (so once every month?). Yeah it probably didn't help that I had no idea what to expect and the lady didn't bother to tell me what to expect either lol. I haven't had any history of problems with pregnancy because this would be my first pregnancy :) And hopefully I won't have any problems either :) It sure does feel a very long time away but its hard to believe that I'm already 7 weeks 3 days. I remember when I was impatiently waiting to take the pregnancy test. Your right time does go by fast. I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can right now but sometimes I forget that I'm pregnant lol :) Because I haven't seen the baby or anything. But don't worry I still treat my body well :) Thanks so much :)

Thats so good that there is no history of complications. But none of the dr  will tell you what you should be expecting, they actually expect you to know it already. But dont be scared to ask the dr any questions but we are all here to.Have you gotten the book "what to expect when expecting" it is a really good book to read up on while pregnant. It sure helped me with my first 2 pregnancies with my daughters. My daughter are 4 years apart and the second was as new as the first. and I am sure I will be reading it again and now with how technology has evolved I have Med help too. Thats what is nice for this site to, you keep journal of everything that you are going through and feeling. I actually cant wait til I get til the 7 week mark and than I will feel so much better. I know its so hard for it to feel so real until at least the second trimester when the u/s start to really look like a baby and you start to feel the baby as well. But it will all be ok

yeah my mom said that all of her pregnancies have been great. Only things I have to worry about are cleft pallet and arthritis :( and i know something is up with my right knee its hurts so bad it makes me want to cry whenever I bend it. I don't think that's normal. How come they expect us to know everything? We're not doctors they are lol. Yeah I just bought the third edition is think it is at Walmart the minute I found out about my pregnancy. Yeah I love medhelp its so helpful :) I'm also loving being able to journal whenever I need to vent it helps me calm down. How far are you from your 7week mark now? Your right about it not feeling real but I know it is its just still weird to think that I'm pregnant because the only proof I have are my pregnancy tests lol :) thanks for the reassurance :)
