TTC conversation with DH

Aug 23, 2012 - 3 comments

We both decided after many tears and pouring our hearts out that we have to stop trying. If it happens we will be so thankful to God for the blessing. We have lost 3 babies over the course of this journey and every month that we get a bfn, the mourning process is even harder! I have decided to track when my period starts ONLY! This is going to be hard but it will be so much easier on us if we stop, so we can heal emotionally.

I can believe that would be so hard.  I think we will be getting there soon too.  Making that decision I mean.  I hope your decision gives you and DH some peace and I'm sure the road ahead of you will have some wonderful things!
Hugs to you.

It's kind of hard to explain how I feel. I feel defeated but at the same time I feel like I fought a good fight and it's time to just throw my white surrender flag up and move on. It's time to pick up the pieces. My husband hurts seeing me hurt and every month that we go through this, it's like this never ending cycle of hurt and disappointment. Its so hard to give up but I know I have to do so for my own sanity.

TTC can be a very stressful, time consuming, frustrating journey.

Sometimes we have to take that step back and re-evaluate.

That is actually what I did. We'd been TTC for 18 months, and the final month I just said to myself, I'm not going to stress over it. I'm just going to ride with it. If it happens, it happens. It actually gave DF and I a chance to just enjoy each other again instead of it being "forced" because that's the time you're ovulating. Stress can prevent you from getting pregnant.

Lo and behold, that was the month we conceived!

So don't feel like you're giving up the fight or throwing in the towel, because that's not what you're doing. You're just letting nature take it's course. You're putting it in God's hands.

Good luck and I hope that you get your BFP soon
