Intermittent Fasting: The 5:2 Diet Week 1, fast day 1.

Well, it was easy enough to postpone breakfast when the rain we've been having all week continued most of today; lay in bed reading and got up at lunch time to a breakfast of 2 hard boiled eggs. Nom. Lunch is a small bowl of vegetable stir fry. And I've discovered (to my relief) that I like rooibos tea. Phew.

With only 50 calories left of my 'fast day' allowance, I think it's tea from here onwards until something light for dinner. Not so hard, for now.

If you're wondering what I'm up to, I'm following Michal Mosley's 5:2 diet, in which you eat normally for 5 days and fast (500 calories) for two days. As far as I can tell, those two days don't need to be consecutive. I've been watching video blogs by people who have done it, and so far it has worked for all of them. I think I can do this! BRING ON THE TEA!
