Prayers for my daughter

Feb 25, 2009 - 14 comments

My daughter, Celia, is having surgery tomorrow.  She has to have a cyst removed that is above her ear.  I know that it is just minor surgery, but it is surgery just the same.  I am terrified of anesthesia and the doctors have to put her under.  Her surgery is at 7:30 in the morning...OMG..I am so nervous and scared.  PLEASE PRAY FOR HER.

Thank you,

Susan

I'll be saying prayers for your daughter!  I understand you being nervous - surgery is always scary, but she will do fine.  God will watch out for her!  Hugs, Janet

Susan,

I will be saying a pray for your daughter tomorrow. I know how hard it must be to have a child to have to go under the knife even for something so minor. Hopes for a speedy recovery!!!! I hope all is well with you today.

Take care,

Niki.

I'll keep her in my prayers, Suzi, and you too! I totally understand your nervousness! My oldest had surgery when he was 7 years old to fix a herniated belly button (not sure what the medical name for that is). I was so scared of him being put under that I drilled the anesthesiologist before hand to see how experienced he was, etc., and the doctor on how many surgeries like this he had done. I'm sure they loved me! Lol. One thing I did find out that should help you to feel better is that children actually do better with anesthesia than adults do. They also tend to recover quicker and are back to normal in no time. That's for sure! I had a heck of a time keeping my 7 year old still after the surgery. He kept wanting to get up and play. And when the surgeon told him he couldn't ride his bike for a couple of weeks, you would have thought the world had just ended! I had to really keep on eye on him to keep him from running around! But he did just fine and so will Celia. I hope this helps a little! I think the hardest part will be not letting her eat or drink before she goes in! Before you know it, it will be over. Take care and bless you both! :) Let us know how she is tomorrow.

Suzi, I'll be thinking of your little girl tomorrow as well as you, sometimes (most times) these things are rougher on Mom.

Oh definitely, I think these things are ALWAYS harder on moms than the kids. She'll sleep right through it!
