I began to have joint pain in my knees and spine about 6 months after my first child was born.  I was 32.  Also my ankles were incredibly stiff in the morning.  Looking back, I had four amalgam fillings added to the 6 I already had. It took some time to "get going" for a while and after a brisk walk, I would feel as stiff as a board.  Then a few years later I began to have sharp pains in my neck and under my ears.  A screening found only GERD and a Thyroid nodule that was aspirated and benign.  Next, I began to experience hypoglycemia, carpal tunnel type numbness in my hands at night, and heart palpitations and sharp chest pain that would come and go.  By this time I had already had my second child.  Finally, after my third child and after I had braces put on (age 37), I began to have sharp head pains, extreme exhaustion after a full nights sleep, scalp tenderness, feet pain at night and would hurt briefly to walk on them in the morning, then insomnia, crawlees all over my body, especially in my head, tingling and numbness is different parts of my body, a tingling sensation when I would use my smart phone or sit next to my computer, unsteadiness on my feet, a vertigo feeling if I tip my head back or turn my head and walk straight, reaction to stormy weather, hypersensitivity to lotions, hair dye, toothpaste, intolerance to smells, muscle twitching cold burning sensations, wet skin sensations, word selection difficulty or the blending of two words, like "shneaker", eye tension, facial and temple tensions, eye pain when focusing on something up close, itchy scalp, shakiness, racing heart, joint pain and stiffness, localized spots of pain in my spine, ankles, head, muscle weakness and most mysteriously fat loss in my face, hands, feet and other areas (without pounds lost on the scale).  Also, some fingers (the first two on each hand) bent and turned inward.  I had the braces removed and the eye and temple tension went away, the crawlees slowly went away, the imbalance got better, the hypersensitivity got better, the insomnia went away and things felt like they were moving in the right direction.  However, I have continued to feel some muscle tension and tingling in my face as well as teeth clenching.  And a general sense that I'm not out of the woods.I tested for low vitamin D, but Lyme, Rheumatoid, CRP, TSH and B-12 came back normal.  The most troublesome symptoms now are the muscle tension, twitching, facial tingling and tension, and joint popping and creaking that has spread and worsened.  I have been taking about 4,000 iu Vit. D per day and Calcium Lactate.  Among some other supplements like Cod liver and Glutathione.
I am so hopeful that someone can give me insight.  I think I had a reaction to the braces, but I also think that I have an underlying condition like Lyme.  ( I do believe I had a bite 6  years ago and have a scar that was noted by the dermatologist.)  I am 5'8 and 145 pounds
For the most part the symptoms seem to come and go and usually last up to three weeks before they disappear for a while.  And the anxiety has been building since I noticed the fat loss in my face (about five months ago).
Thank you in advance for your help.
