USED Vs. LOVED

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up stone
and
scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man
took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using
a wrench.
At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple
fractures.
When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when
will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless;
he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.
Devastated by his own actions.......sitting in front of that car he
looked at
the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.

The next day that man committed suicide. . .
Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful,
lovely life.....

Things are to be used and people are to be loved,
But the problem in today's world is that, People are used and things are
loved...
Things are to be used, but People are to be
loved ....

Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they
become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits they become character; Watch your
character; it becomes your destiny.

Love it. This is what the teachings behind one of the forms of meditation that I am learning. The main focus is on those thoughts. You have to let them happen but without attachment to them. I often meditate when I am really ticked or if something is really bothering me and I allow the thoughts to arise and imagine them as twigs floating by in a stream. I keep trying to connect a way to make recovery easier. I often post to people who are craving "Beware of thoughts that linger" -George Harrison. relapse and addiction all begin with a thought. As well as everything in life. This is the level where we have to kind of  filter them. Thanks for the post

so true, corey. relapse begins with a thought and ends with an action. once we have picked up, we are no longer relapsing, we are in full blown active using of our poison. you mean "beware of darkness"? great lyrics. thanks for the comment

Yes,That's the song Boogieman. I played it over and over in early withdrawal. Also Beware of Maya which is a Hindu word that translates to a veil of illusion that covers our ability to see reality and our true nature. This is so what drugs do to us. Buddhists have a word prajna sp? which is a pre thought phase that they learn about as we learn breathing. There are so many concepts that Eastern philosophies have that we don't even have a word to express them. Many of them have to do with the inner struggles we have in life.
