I don't come around much anymore, but glad I did tonight to see your almost done.  So close, but yet far away.  Time will pass quickly and one day you'll look back at it all like a bad dream. I had a quick recovery but now experiencing some weird sides 9 weeks post.  Yikes!  Got my hair cut, colored, highlighted and looks great.  Its very thin but the three inch grey roots are gone.  Just happy to get out of this with hair left.  Lol !

I'm starting to have thoughts of healthy hair, working out, just feeling normal!  Just had to put a smile on my death face - hahaha.

P.S.  I saw your pics of the blisters.  What are they from??

It is called Porphyria commonly known as PCT.  It's caused from high iron and the sun makes it worse.  Sun is always shining on my hands when I'm driving.  Have to wear gloves now.  Its something people with hep c get but docs don't understand why I have it now the virus is gone.

I've seen the mention of PCT on the boards.  Do you expect it to go away?  Sorry about all the questions.

Don't be sorry about asking questions, thats how we learn.  If it had not of been for this forum I would not know I had PCT.  I asked GSD tons of questions about this as she had it too.

At this point I'm not sure of anything, and don't know if it will go away.  I have to have a phlebotomy to remove the iron from my blood.  Once the iron is reduced it should get better.  

I just pray when your done you have a quick recovery with no complications.  Such a long hard journey we have been on.
