Lulu, I don't care for this design at all. What where they thinking? Most people with Neuro Issues already have balance problems of one sort or another, just looking at the photo was difficult. I am not Kidding... WOW !! What were they thinking???
I Hope the Doctors will warn their patients not to look up as they get near the building... ;-(
Maybe I just don't get it... I don't mind modern but this is just too far out there for me... But than I am only one voice and "they" didn't ask for my opinion did they...

This would have made for an interesting motel design or something but a clinic? They didn't ask my opinion either cause it would have been "what were you thinking" :)
I would definitely be using the back door to the clinic and avoiding the front - you are all right about the disorienting nature of the structure. Just what we need - one more thing to throw our balance off!
one of our professors looked at this photo and instantly declared it beautiful and brilliant and guessed correctly the architect (Gehry). He then said he didn't think he would take his children to be treated at a place like this because they would find the structure confusing and not comforting. Two opinions form one very educated person.
HAHAHA!!! Typical architect: It won't serve the purpose well at all, but who cares? Look how outlandish it is!!
Seriously, I think this is worse than the Columbus Convention Center, a project where I heard that some of the bricklayers said they had to be retrained when they were finished with that job, because they no longer had a good sense of plumb, true, or level.
Mies van der Rohe is turning over in his grave. For that matter, so is Frank Lloyd Wright.
Wow! Think it's Great, really Quarky. Reminds me of Antoni Gaudi. It's like the structure has been made out of toffee/candy and melted in the sun. Think Gehry must have a fantastic imagination, may even have similar symptoms to us!! Lol To be used as a clinic though does make my mind which is presently in my big toe!! Lol Boggle!!
The artsy side of me loves this design in that it is unique.... but I agree, as far as functionality it is rather void. It doesn't make good use of space (there's too much taken up uselessly by all the artsy angles and curves), and it will definitely scare some people and/or cause motion sickness just looking at it! This would have been a better design for a modern art museum than a medical clinic!
