13 months after tx I did what I promised myself during tx (in response to a thread on Medhelp), and managed a 2.5 hour kayak (down an easy tidal river).   Because of my 'early osteoarthritis' causing neck problems, I was advised to go on a double kayak (next time I'll going in a single regardless lol).

During tx I wasn't sure that I could keep this promise, and while I'm still not ready for any marathons,  this day was a huge celebration for me.   Whoever started the thread of 'what will you do when you finish tx': thankyou!!!

Ah, gal, that makes me so happy to see you that way, in the water.

I was checking out kayaks at Costco this week, so seeing you in your double got me excited.

Kayaking was long hubby's thing but he can't squish down comfortably anymore. Does your guy have that problem?

I'm training for a run right now but am taking it super easy.  Going for a three mile one.

Congratulations and yay!

Squeee!

I went kayaking in the Florida Keys for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it! I couldn't get out when we brought it back because my hips have gotten horrible. LOL!  I was quite a scene. Looks like you had a blast.
