The red fish are called "Ruby Snapper" ... one of the best eating fish ... all between 8-15 kilos each ... Me and my friend caught them that morning ... there's one Amberjack at the end of the line ....

Are they easier / harder to catch? Do you use "extreme vertical jigging for these also?

yup vertical jigging .. for these snappers we catch them from 300 - 500 ft deep ... rare they are shallower than 300 ft.

That's why the painted lead chunks for bait, so that it can drop down to those depths?

Yup, the painted lead is the bait ... nothing else ... sometimes other folks jig in 50 ft. of water ... it's all about action and reaction ... ..
