How beautiful Shannon. We need to decorate soon. Are there special instructions for real trees. Never had one in 40 hrs and want one for M. Since it's hot here should we wait? Thanks for the info.

Thanks ladies!

E - I'm not sure about climate being that yours is so different from ours. You'll need a tree stand for a real tree. They have big screws in them to hold the trunk. Lots of water. These babies are thirsty! I've heard that putting a little sugar in the water helps keep the tree fresh and stops the needles from falling. I have put some in ours so we'll see if it actually works. And the last thing I would mention is keeping M and puppy away from the tree as much as possible. The needles are really sharp. And not sure if anyone has allergies to the trees and/or sap, but that's something else to consider too

Ugh... We talked about it again last night. Our little cashmere tree is going up this year. M won't understand not to EAT the tree needles. Both M & Sophie are 'foodies' anything that they can put in their mouths. Needles may = food to them. I am glad you got to try out a real tree this yr. it's beautiful. I could be allergic (if not allergic migraines) to the tree too :(

I would definitely stay away from the real tree. You don't want M or Sophie eating the needles. And you don't need the migraines. It smells like pine tree in here 24/7, so you'd have one big constant migraine

I think you and hubs are right. We will have to drive to some snow for her to play in instead this year lol. I think I've only touched snow a couple of times in 40 yrs

PS we are in the 80's here this week. It's warm for this time of year.

We've been really warm here too. Not 80's mind you, but we're usually buried in snow by now. We have nothing! Not one flake. We've a couple inches twice, but it hasn't stayed. It's so unusual for us. It kinda scares me thinking what January will be like if December is like this lol

I think we'll be having a green Christmas this year.

Oh wow! That's crazy cuz I remember your pics I think from last year of all the snow. We are supposed to have a super wet winter here but it doesn't look good so far (I guess it's technically fall still). Our trees and plants are confused by the heat too We still have leaves and fruit on them!!
