This is a retrograde pylogram of my kidney.  It is where they run dye up the ureter retrograde and then take a picture.  I posted it o if somebody who is familiar with this type test could have access and maybe help me.  The doctor that did this test said it was normal and the "pinched off" area in the ureter is where a peristalic wave is taking place.

O my,  just saw this picture.  It looks like a cat in your back.
Sorry you don't know me.  Just joined the lupus community and was just checking out profiles.  Back to looking up illnesses again for myself.  Urggg.   Anyhow, I hope and pray all is well with you now.

That pic/test was done back in 07.  Doctor said it was "normal".  Went to another dr. who wanted to know what the first dr. said.  It just turned into a situation where no one wanted to go against another dr.  It is obvious the kidney is functioning....the dye went from point A to point B. But I was and still have right flank pain.  My PCP said he thinks the lupus caused inflamation in my ureter, thus causing the stricture and that (in his opinion) the plaquinel would help calm the inflamation and the kidney pain.  He is right.  I do feel better.  When I have a flare the flank pain flares up too.  But as it stands, I've lost confidence in urologist.
Thank you for your concern.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
Do you have lupus?

That's a good question.  And I certainly don't have the answer to that question.  I know I got better on plaquinel.  Would plaquinel help lymes symptoms?  I would think that untreated lymes would not get better, but worse.

hi karajo
i am assistant (specialized nurse) to a surgeon : i pray for you. but deep within myself i cant stop thinking that you have something more serious than lupus, it s either lyme or the c.. word (i know that deep within yourself you know it too). its not that bad anyways, but now you should be very carefull in your diet , eat more GARLIC(uncooked) /salads/fruits , less meat, less pasta, & LESS SUGARS, review all you medication , plaquinel is not always decisive in heeling lyme, must not be taken for long periods anyways. beware: fast sugars & red meat increase lyme AND lupus symptoms. goodluck.

Thank you cmcm_nurse.  Yes, sugar seems to really affect lupus symptoms. (or whatever it is I have.)
