I have four cats.  Had one cat for 5 years.  Then, a year ago a stray male cat came to the house in poor health.  He was dehydrated and thin.  We kept him.  Then, I adopted a cat from the shelter after finding out that she had been there for 5 months.  My mother passed away from heart surgery, and I felt the need to adopt this cat.  She is a wonderful cat, so calm.  Then, my ex-husband did not want his cat, which he bought for my daugher, after 6 years.  This is princess.  He threatened to shoot princess (pictured above) due to her long hair in his house.  We took her in also.  We are now at the city limit of 4 animals per household.  Recently, my grandmother passed away and left 3 neutered male cats.  Trying to figure out what to do with them before winter. There are so many abandoned animals due to his economy.  It is overwhelming.  I absolutely love cats.  Actually, I love all animals, but cats fit my lifestyle better.  They can be left alone while at work, and we don't have to worry about letting them outside or them crying at home while we are working.  They are loving and have lots of personality.  Princess is more like a whining little girl, she is declawed and very sweet. Breeanna is like a female Garfield (lots of personality and attitude, but very loyal).   Garrett is our lover boy.  He is so incredibly affectionate.  Jingles is a great cat for kids. She jumbs rope, rides on a scooter with the children and joins in on all the fun.  Sorry to hear that your husband does not want to keep the cat.  My husband didn't want our cats either, but I kept them anyway and he likes them now.
