About the Doctor
I qualified as a medical doctor in 1991 at the Universities of Aachen, in Germany, and Oviedo, in Spain. In 1993 I moved to London, where I completed my post-graduate training, becoming a GP in 1999. During this time, I obtained the Diploma of Child Health, the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. I have always been involved in research and have published several scientific papers. I also have a PhD in cancer research. In 2005 I completed an MSc in Public Health & Infectious Diseases, field that has now become one of my main clinical interests. Due to this wide experience, I have worked for different international organisations (Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontiéres, European Union, WHO) as a medical advisor and have travelled all over the world. I am fluent in Spanish, German, French and Italian. Apart from having a wealth of experience in all aspects of General Medicine, my main interests are in Sexual Health and HIV, as well as Aesthetic Medicine and Dermatology including dermal fillers, facial reconstructing and anti-wrinkle treatments.

Información sobre el Médico
Terminé mis estudios de Medicina en 1991 licenciando por las universidades de Aquisgrán, en Alemania, y Oviedo, en España. En el año 1993 me trasladé a Londres, donde completé mi especialización de Medicina General en 1999. Durante este periodo de tiempo, también recibí el Diploma de Salud Infantil y Pediatria, el Diploma del Real Colegio de Obstetricia y Ginecología, así como también la diplomatura de especialización del Real Colegio de Medicina Interna del Reino Unido. Además de todo esto, siempre he estado involucrado en la investigación médica y he publicado numerosos artículos científicos, culminando con un doctorado (PhD) en la investigación del cáncer por la Universidad Ludwig-Maximilians de Munich. En el año 2005, completé un Masters en Salud Pública y Enfermedades Infecciosas por la London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. El campo de la Enfermedades Infecciosas y VIH se ha convertido ahora en mi principal area de interés clínico. Debido a esta amplia experiencia he trabajado como asesor médico para varias organizaciones internacionales: Amnistía Internacional, Médecins Sans Frontiéres, Unión Europea y la OMS. Por este motivo he tenido la suerte de haber viajado por casi todo el mundo, pudiendo hablar español, inglés, francés, alemán e italiano con total fluidez. Aparte de tener gran experiencia en los campos de Medicina General y Medicina Interna, mis principales intereses se centran en las Enfermedades de Transmisión Sexual, VIH y Enfermedades Infecciosas, así como también la Medicina Estética y Dermatología incluyendo los rellenos dérmicos, reconstrucción facial y tratamientos anti-arrugas.
