Instead of flip-flops, choose footwear that is well padded, with a solid midsole and adequate arch support. If you really must wear flip-flops, the American Podiatric Medical Association recommends buying a flip-flop made of high-quality soft leather (to help decrease blisters or irritation) that bends at the ball of the foot. Make sure it fits properly (your foot shouldn’t hang off either end).
