8 weeks has always been what I was told but because I had ectopic and new 18 days after ovulation I was,pg I felt horrible and day 3 bleed. They said it was normal well that night I was rushed into surgery to open tube and have dnc I was bleeding into abdomen so I say sooner rather because it was ectopic but didn't lose tube because I knew esrly. I believe my second time having surgery for my endometriosis my new obviously said that tube was blocked. Both my kids were conceived with one try and one RT tube. Amazing foe someone who was told at 16 she never Hage children without help if at all.

Thanks everyone. I haven't told anyone but my husband. I want to tell my other children and friends, but feel like I should wait until I see a Dr.
Most doctors will have you wait to 10 weeks. If you are ay high risk for anything or have any medical history, best to call the doctors office, tell them, and see when they think you should go in for first visit.
9-10 weeks seems to be a typical first prenatal appt.
My Doctor will not see you until you're 8-10 weeks. I would still call and make an appointment. Sometimes they are so busy, that you need to make the appointment early.
I would call and ask. I was in my ob office for a routine checkup when I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant. They started blood work and such that day.
