Ovulation 6 days after LH surge?

Hi all,

Once again I am asking a question that probably belongs on fertility, but most of you have probably been through this, or something similar.  Hope you don't mind me asking here instead.  I detected my LH surge on monday 14th. (Using the clearblue OPK) DH and I made sure we took advantage of the situation for 4 full days.  Today is Sunday the 20th, and for about 15 minutes, I was getting short sharp pains in my lower right, inside the hip bone area. Not super painful, and very short lived, but very definately noticeable.  Is it possible that was actual ovulation, and I ovulated that late after LH surge?  I have gotten pregnant twice before BDing only 2 days in a row from LH surge, but am wondering after 2 back to back miscarriages if it could have changed my ovulation/surge time so dramatically.  What do you guys think?

Thats sure what I am hoping, but am scared to hope..lol.  Then of course the fear it won't stick again...this baby thing is far more complicated then I thought it would be.  I have an ob/gyn/fertility specialist app. on Wed. to talk about chlomide/progesterone as he seems to think these things will make a difference for me.  Hopefully if it was implantation, beta hcg's wil be high enough for a blood test to pick up.  Maybe I did O twice, and got lucky enough to get twins like you did.  That would be a dream come true.

Thanks for the input.  I follow your posts and I am glad you and babies are doing well.

I'd say it's more likely implantion cramps cause the last 2 times I've gotten BFP's I had the same cramps I got for O and got them til I was somewhere near 8-9 weeks.....but I do not think it's possible to O that frar from your LH surge unless you were taking clomid and then you could have gotten a false +OPK if you took it within 3 days of your last pill.  But you can O twice in a cycle so that's a possibility but it sure sounds like implantion cramping to me....good luck

I saw another post earlier about someone getting a second LH surge each month.  It was the first time I'd heard of it.  Maybe it's something your doctor might have more info. on.  If nothing else, BD both times you have your surge and see if that answers your question.  If it does, please share with the rest of us.
