I have to say this place is just great...I can vent, cry, question, comment and it just feels great! And I'm always suprised to see how many more women there is out there with similar situations as mine.

March 2007 I had a tubal legition. March 2008 I find out I was pregnant. Two weeks ago I had a D&C. Until 2 months ago if anybody would of asked me if I wanted another child (I already have 3) my answer would of been "Are you crazy?" I really thought I was to old. But finding out a few months ago I could still conceive changed everything...especially for my hubby who really wants another one. And since I see so many women in here over 35 and being pregnant or wanting to, it just made me more acceptable to the fact that HEY I'm not to old and it would not be crazy to have another little bundle of love.

So we are going to try to be a Mom and Dad to another one if God is willing!!!

Stick around...even if it's just to read...I find this place relaxing and exciting!!!

I am 39 and this pregnancy makes number 4. My other three are 20, 18, and 18 (not twins) along with two grandchildren. They think this is great so that doesn't bother me anymore. I worry about this one not having anyone to relate to. The other ones had each other. I will be having my tubes tied after this pregnancy as I am now positive I do not want to do this again. I have been non-stop sick since the pregnancy test unlike the others. I have different worries I didn't have with the others but know there is little I can do other than take care of myself and eat right and not over do it.

Hi Beth -

I totally get it about the age gap thing:  this too is my 5th child.  My other 4 are 23, 21, 19 & 14 so even though we planned this baby (crazy as it sounds), I'm feeling overwhelmed like it's my 1st baby even though it's my 5th - well, it's been 15 years such a long, long time ago & everything has changed.  I don't blame you for not wanting to tell your children about your pregnancy but in my opinion, it's better that they know so they won't be jumping to any crazy conclusions thinking something's really bad wrong w/Mommy.  All of my children knew from 4 weeks on and I too worried about the same thing.  Try not to stress!!

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Hi Beth,

Welcome to this Community, we here are like family! There is nothing we can't or don't talk about with each other!! Don't hesitate to ask a ton of questions, as I'm sure someone if not many will have an answer, thought, suggestion, or a bit of encouragement to pass along your way along with TONS of support!!

This is my 3rd, oldest (DD)18yrs old (in 9 days) (DS) 10 yrs old and another boy due in May. We had a tubal reversal in March 07 and are so lucky we got pregnant right away!

Congrats on the baby!!

I have so many worries about losing this baby...and what if there's something wrong? I find out my due date tomorrow, 4/10, and I can't wait. I just want to get all of my blood tests and everything else so I know everything is O.k. I was ignoring the symtoms for so long because I was also sick and now by my count I must be close to 10 or 11 weeks. I also worry about the relationship that this one will have with the other kids. They're very excited right now. I didn't want to tell them yet before I had all of the details, but my husband really wanted to tell them and it was really bothering them.

Hey there my name is Delma and my pregnancy was so unplanned. I know what you mean about the age difference. This will be my 3rd child. My son is 20 and my daughter is 16. I was a little nervous in the begining because it has been so long since I have had  a baby in my arms.....almost like starting over with a good feeling of having lots of help this time around. I think I am blessed for having such wonderful kids that want to share my joy. Why are you worried? Feel free to message me anytime.

Hello my name is Inga and I am 35. Although this pregnancy was planned, you are not alone. This too is my 5th and my youngest are twins and they will turn 10 right after the baby is born. I think about the age gap also, but I know they are going to be a great help. They are looking forward to having a baby brother or sister and fighting over who will hold baby first. How far along are you and when are you due? I am 20wks and due Aug.25. I am so excited and can't wait to meet my little bundle. It will be like starting over though. I haven't held a baby in years, and b-4 DH and I thought about having more, we had already gotten rid of all the twins baby items. It's okay, I can't wait to go shopping for new things. Feel free to send me a message anytime you want to talk and keep us updated on your progress.
