This is Day 4 of my wonderful bruise. Was helping my friend to put in 150mm x 8 metre length storm water pipe in our long and hilly driveway. I was uphill, he was downhill, he let slip, my stuffed right wrist felt the jarring as his end bounced and let my grip go thus slamming into my leg all 40kgs (about 80 lbs!) of the edge of the pipe straight into my leg! I was convinced it would be a flap of skin and muscle bleeding everywhere, but luckily for me the weather has been terribly cold, so I had on thick socks with thick long pants. I think that is what saved me from surgery and end up with a swollen badly bruised right leg and ankle!  (....and yes, I didn't shave my legs!)

OUCH!  I'm surprised you can even walk!  So glad you didn't have to undergo surgery.

OMG!! That looks so painful!!! You're so lucky it was cold (typical Spring in Melbourne lol) and you had thick socks and long pants on...so very lucky!!

Oh, and if that's what not shaved legs look like for you, mine are so much worse...mine look worse than that after 2 days LOL!

Hugs!! :)

I'm limping at the moment and when I sleep can't lay flat on my back with my legs stretched out, like I usually do. Wakes me up when I do with the pain!  Yes, VERY lucky it was a typical stupid Melbourne Spring day; Cold!
I am pretty lucky with my hairs on my legs. Not many there to start with but when they keep growing they are LONG! Like up to 2 cms each! I have no hairs from mid calf up. The ones on the backs of my legs grow sideways! I am a weird wombat, hey!

Looks really painful sweets.  I hope you are trying to keep it elevated some and that it heals quickly.  Oucccchhhy.
As for the cold...it probably did help you.  I remember once I had disrespected my 243 rifle in thoughts that it had NO kick to it at all.  Went to take a shot and it rightfully whacked me in the eye.  (how embarrassing)  I knew better!!!!!
Anyhow, the temperature was -10 degrees that day so it didn't split wide open.  I was lucky.  My forehead, eye and nose down along my cheek was all discolored though.  Quite embarrassing.  Amazingly I took another shot properly and got the deer in a mid air jump.  I couldn't come home looking like that w/o some meat in the freezer.  lol
Anyhow, Best of wishes always and I hope it feels better soon.  ((((HUGS))))
