First communion, how nice. They are both just lovely. Look like Mom. I grew up Missouri Synod Lutheran which is run away Catholic and we had to take catechism classes for two yrs when we were between 11 & 13 and than we had our first communion. Of course we didn't have to do the confession thing first though. How do you explain transubstantiantion to a 5 yr old? Don't they have to have those two years of classes and a confession before their first communion? I don't know as much about the Catholic church as I should I guess.
Hi Jan.....They say my big one looks like me...the little one looks like Hubby...They start ccd classes in 1st grade and than 2nd grade is communion and than they have to go 3rd,4th.5th,6th,7th and 8th grade...8th grade is confirmation.....They have to make Confession before Communion...I was baptized catholic but didnt make communion/confirmation till I was getting married....
