Oh, look at this poor baby :( I wasn't able to see his tummy in the pics you e-mailed. Oh PK, I SEE how his skin is yellow! Poor sweet boy. Thank God he's got a mama like you! :)
Jade, He is yellow still. But you know what? The ears are looking less yellow so that's a plus. He got to be the yellow kitty. Even his nose was yellow. He was THIS close to passing away. But this cat has a strong will to live.
Poor, sweet baby. Blessings, prayers and hugs to you, little Abby! Get well. We want to see our big, handsome boy back to his old self real soon. God bless you, sweet kitty!
I see how his belly is yellow, too. But, it's great to hear that he's starting to get his normal color back. And, ya know.....he doesn't look too bad for going through all of this. Take each day as it comes!! You are doing great, and I bet you're becoming a pro at the tube feeding!
I have to admit. I do find the feeding tube less scary. He is a good boy. He lets me handle him very well. They said at the vet that he was aggressive. I am not sure that they were talking about MY boy. MY boy sits still when I medicate him. MY boy may be grumpy, but he is certainly NOT an aggressive cat. MY boy is gentle and sweet. I don't know what they were talking about.
Maybe they weren't as patient with him as you are and took things slow. Maybe they tried to rush things. Also, Abby is not as familiar with them so he may not have been as compliant with them. I'm sure he was scared, being out of his element, everything unfamiliar to him, plus being in pain and simply not feeling good. I'd be grumpy too!
Yes, I'm sure being surrounded by strangers poking and prodding him, while in pain, must have been pretty scary for him. He looks like he is healing quite well in another pic, I'm so glad he's feeling better.
