It seems as though you still wear a lot of makeup. Does a combination of Accutane and Diane35 reduce acne scarring as well as the appearance of new breakouts? I fear using cover up my whole life...possibly decreasing the effectiveness of any drug I might ingest. Suggestions?
Hi. Diane35 cannot reduce scarring, only prevent outbreaks therefore preventing further scarring. Accutane seemed to reduce some of my scarring. For occassional breakouts now I use Differin which exfoliates the skin and speeds up healing time of spots so they're less likely to scar. 6 months after finishing Accutane I had microdermabrasion to reduce scarring.
The cover-up I use is Toleriane by La Roche-Posay. It is non-acnegenic so will not reduce the effectiveness of your anti-acne regime like oily foundations will.
