Quaker is going to a great new home... Project Perry in Louisa, VA... a bona fide Avian Welfare Coalition approved bird sanctuary. She'll be with other birds of her own kind (very important to a Quaker parrot) plus where she will have opportunity for free flight. They're bird people... she is in wonderful hands. :D

The puppies know something's going on, probably even that we are about to move again.  They didn't seem upset until Quaker "disappeared"... now they're stressed and coming to me for reassurance.  I'm going to ask the sanctuary folks to send me a quick video of Quaker in her new digs to show the dogs.

It sounds like Quaker has a wonderful new home, but I know you'll miss him so.  It's amazing what dogs can sense and the slightest change or rearrange and they are on it.  What a precious idea getting a video.  I hope it makes you and your doggies smile, but be prepared for some tears too.  I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face as I'm typing this.
