Thank you guys, yes he is definitely enjoying a better place now. These rescue dogs know where they come from and they really show so much appreciation that they make amazing pets.
They said he was two years old, he was a stray that was picked up. They don't tell you when but his days were numbered.
We feel very blessed to have him now, and he won't ever be a stray again. A win win situation.

I couldn't begin to say what he means to me, the is the closest thing to a perfect pet I have seen. I had a mini-dachshund that was my heart for sixteen years until I had to put her down. Sometimes Rusty reminds me so much of Brandy, Rusty got a bad start, very bad but from now on he will get all the love we've got. Now it is my job to show him that humans are not all bad.
