He is a teaser. Showing off that fluffy tummy, inviting you to pet him, then, right before you can do anything he leaves.

What a cutieeeeeeee!!!  At work we have a smokie grey femme.  Her name is Ashley.  She knows who gives her the treats and goes to their room.  I carry treats & cat nip in my fanny pack.

You have a cat at your work place? Gosh, if you can have a kitty there then I'll talk to my mom. She is a CNA, and there's just so many kitties out there looking for a warm place to stay. I think elders would love a kitty companion.

PrettyKitty, there are many nursing homes who have a "house cat". Check and see what the rules are where she works. Animals can often reach the elderly in ways humans can't. We have a couple of nursing homes here, one that has a "house cat" and one that has a dog. It just has to be a well behaved, healthy animal, I guess.
Have you ever thought of doing pet therapy? I've always wanted to do that. Still do.

Thanks, April. I would love to do pet therapy. Right now I don't have the time or the pet to do this lol. Abby, being an indoor kitty would freak out if he saw strangers. I think the animal first needs to get used to being with a lot of people and I think you'd have to work on socialization when the animal is still a baby. Wrong? :)

That Doesn't stop me from trying to pet every furry belly I see, lol.

Waldo and Sahib both have fairly gentle personalities and could possibly be used as tharapy animals, but I can't part with them.
