The Norfolk and Western #611, a mighty engine capable of 100 mile per hour speeds, was retrieved from the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, completely rebuilt and returned to active service in March 2015. Some say the "J" was one of the most beautiful steam engines ever built.

The "J" was one of fourteen in her class, was built in 1956 in the shops of the Norfolk and Western Railroad and made her last run before retirement in 1959. She was equipped with roller bearings. While in service she regularly pulled fifteen cars at 110 miles per hour, Many consider the finest and best steam locomotive ever built.
